(1965 г.= 50 долл.); курсы взвешиваются в соответствии с числом акций в каждом выпуске; влияние каждой акции пропорционально капитализации компании; рассчитывается и публикуется на тикере непрерывно с изменениями в долларах и центах; на основе индекса торгуют опционами и фьючерсами.
